This spacious Provence villa (200m2) set within a parkland of Mediterranean pines, olive trees and Holm oak offers privacy and calm to be disturbed only by cicadas.
It is one of the few villas to be awarded 4 stars by the Carpentras Tourist board and has been furnished and equipped to a high standard.
A beautiful library with a piano, and two living rooms with superb views, make it a very comfortable holiday retreat. It is within easy reach of Provence's famous sights; Gordes, Mont Ventoux, Saint Remy de Provence, Avignon, and the Luberon.
About 100m from the house, is a full size tennis court which was resurfaced recently. The swimming pool is closer to the house but still far enough away that those quietly relaxing at the house need not be disturbed by the exuberant youth in the pool!

Downstairs
Large 45 m2 living/dining room with a leather sofa, 2 leather armchairs, as well as an inviting open fire-place. The dining area has an (extendable) table for 10 people; there is even a 'sunday best' dinner set for special occasions.
The living room leads into an 'old style' library (30m2) with bookshelves lining the walls, a sofa and 4 armchairs (and a spare 'put-you-up' single bed), a fireplace, mezzanine and a piano.
The kitchen is fully equipped with good quality cooking utensils and table ware. Separate pantry.
3 Ground floor bedrooms: Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds, and the other has twin single beds.
Bathroom with bath, bidet and wash-basin. Separate WC.
A steepish winding wooden staircase leads to a mezzanine gallery comprising a 'small' sitting room furnished with a sofa and two leather armchairs. From here there is a stunning view of Mont Ventoux.
First Floor
Mezzanine leads to a Bedroom with twin beds.
The bedroom has french windows out to a very spacious roof terrace (70m2) with views both ways; over the front garden to the south and Mont Ventoux to the North. Two parts of the terrace are covered. They make ideal spots for a quiet read away from the rest of the party. This roof terrace is also reached by outdoor steps from the back garden.

The front (south) terrace has a dining table seating 10.

The swimming pool (8x4m x 1.5m deep) is about 40m from the house and has an alarm.
Set in the 3 acre wooded park is a full-size tennis court (with plenty of space behind the baseline!), resurfaced in 2001, it is about 100m from the house. Close by is a ping-pong table. There is also a children's playground with a slide and a swing.
This is a 'protected zone' and you are not permitted to have camp-fires anywhere. |
