This beautiful large (200m2) holiday rental in the Haut Languedoc Natural park is perfect for lovers of total tranquillity and escapism, along with outdoor lovers as the local walks and hikes are spectacular. The Languedoc holiday house sits within a 700m2 garden, with a kidney-shaped pool and is totally private, standing alone amidst stunning mountainous scenery and overlooking ancient Château ruins. Idyllic! Plus the South of France sandy beaches are about an hour away.

In total there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bath/shower rooms on the ground floor, plus living/kitchen and dining space, and on the lower level 2 further bedrooms, 1 shower room and kitchen/living area making it ideal for two families on holiday in Languedoc, South of France or for giving the teenagers a little independence!

The holiday rental is for 6 people with a supplement per person for a 7th or 8th person. The number of occupants is restricted to 8 in total.

Detailed description of this South of France Holiday Villa.

Ground Floor

The modern and well-equipped kitchen is open plan and opens out onto a terrace overlooking the ruins of an old Château that are stunningly lit at night for beautiful views.

The kitchen also leads onto the air-conditioned L-shaped living dining room of approximately 40m2, which has a beautiful glass and wrought iron dining set for 6, a comfy sofa and TV.

The dining area gives on to a second terrace via patio doors, facing the pool, which has comfortable modern furniture, creating an 'outdoor lounge', perfect for drinks in the early evening.

Ground Floor - Bedrooms:

Bedroom 1 - double bed of 160cm, with fitted cupboards, a bathroom with corner bath, wash hand basin and sofa, and an independent wc. This bathroom is ensuite, but can be accessed by another entrance for use by Bedroom 3 on this level.

Bedroom 2 - a double bed of 140cm, an en-suite shower room with walk-in 'Venetian' shower and an independent wc. This room also has a small flat screen TV.

Bedroom 3 - a double bed of 140 cm (shared bathroom with Bedroom 1 via a separate entrance).

Lower Level:

The lower level of the property has its own small kitchen, two bedrooms and a shower room, so it can be used as a separate apartment, making ideal for two families on holiday together in the South of France or for giving the teenagers a little independence.

There is an open plan living area, comprising dining area seating 6, the kitchen (with dishwwasher, microwave, fridge, hob and oven) with a high 'breakfast bar' and a sofa, plus fitted cupboards.

South of France Holiday villa in beautiful countryside location

The holiday villa stands alone amidst the South of France lush green scenery on the side of a hill, within the Languedoc National Park, it is completely private and not over-looked.

The kidney-shaped pool is approximately 8m x 4m and 1.45m to 1.65m deep and has an alarm. There are steps down into it for easy access and it can be lit at night, which is spectacular. There is a decked and tiled terrace by the pool.

4 loungers and plenty of outside dining furniture.

A second terrace accessible from the lounge faces the pool, which has comfortable modern furniture, creating an 'outdoor lounge', perfect for drinks!

A third terrace with views of the Chateau can be accessed from the Kitchen.

Caroux Mountains - approx 15km - spectacular gorges, rockpools, canoeing, rock-climbing.

Lac Salagou - approx 17km (watersports) and Cirque de Moureze, a 'chaos' of limestone ravines and towers, are also less than half an hour's drive away.

Béziers - approx 45km Large market town, famous for its lively summer Feria (45 minutes).

St-Guilhem-le-Desert is a huge and superb 11th-12th century Roman church and is one of the prettiest villages in France (75km/1 hour 10 minutes)
