Modern holiday Villa near Nimes and Montpellier in the South of France

3 to 17 August 2024 have to be taken together as a 2 week booking.

This spacious villa (300m2), has been converted and using steel and glass the owners have created wonderfully light and airy living spaces. The bedrooms are simply furnished but sufficient for holiday use. There is a very large private garden (2800m2) with a lush lawn, children's play area and a shady copse of trees, where one can dine alfresco. The swimming pool has a water slide and an extensive paved terrace around it with plenty of sun-loungers.

Nîmes and Montpellier are only 20 to 25 minutes away so a great place to stay to explore the Roman antiquities like the Roman Arena which is still used for concerts and bull-fighting. 

South France Holiday Villa - sleeping 12-14

Ground level:

Entrance hall leads to a spacious open plan living-dining room (80m2) with high ceiling and leather sofas. The dining area has a large table seating 12 and large glass sliding doors that lead out to the garden. Beyond is a 20m2 'sun-lounge' with billiard table which can be shaded by big rolling blinds. Close to it is a big built in barbecue.

Unusual long fully equipped kitchen.

The ground floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bath/shower rooms and an additional shower in one of the bedrooms.
Two bedrooms have twin beds that can be put together to make "king-size" double beds. One room has two single beds and a standard double (140cm) and the fourth room has a double (160cm). One of the rooms has a very "designer" glass shower with cement floor encrusted with pebbles and a washbasin.

Off the central hallway is a bathroom with double basin, and a spacious shower room.

There are 3 WCs on the ground floor; one off one of the bedrooms, the other is off the entrance hallway, but can also be accessed from the bathroom. One side of this WC is a glass wall giving onto a bamboo stand in the garden, but there is a screen for privacy. The third is in the room housing the table football and is suitable for the disabled.

Three of the bedrooms lead onto a terrace which has now been enclosed with glass to make a marvellous gym room, with weights and exercise bike, where one feels right in the garden.

First Floor:

Narrow stairs (unsuitable for the very young or elderly) lead up to the other two bedrooms and a bathroom. One bedroom has twin beds which can be put together to make a 'king-size' double, the other has a double bed (140cm). There is a sauna off one of the bedrooms.

On one side of the landing is a spacious bathroom (no closeable door and narrow access because of stair banister). Separate WC on other side of landing.

South France Holiday Villa

The garden with very large lawn is enclosed by a tall hedge so enjoys complete privacy. There is a 12m x 5m private pool which is fenced for safety. Beyond the swimming pool area is a fountain and pond whose soothing sound you will enjoy while dining in the shade of a copse of mature trees. Loungers for 10 and chairs for 15 guests.

There is a children's play area with swings and a water slide going down into the pool! The owners have also recently bought table football to keep both children and adults occupied!

On the side of the house there is plenty of private gated parking space.

South of France Holiday Villa in a great location

15 km NE of Nîmes: Roman arena, still used for concerts and bullfights.

23 km E of Uzes. Attractive medieval town.

Mediterranean beaches 80 km.

10km S of Pont du Gard: the best preserved three-tier Roman aqueduct in Western Europe

"Maison Carrée" Roman temple, 20km SW of Avignon.

A visit to the Palais des Papes in Avignon is a must.

Many excellent restaurants.

River Rhone Boat rides down to Beaucaire, Tarascon and Arles.
