It is rare to find such a wonderful holiday villa to rent with pool and garden for just two people in the South of France - couples so often find themselves having to pay for much bigger holiday rental houses if they want to have use of a decent-sized swimming pool and large garden and air con! This is an ideal place for a honeymoon in Languedoc, South of France. The gite has a recently refurbished bedroom.

This modern Languedoc apartment is just outside a hill-top hamlet, which has long views over the Aude valley. On a clear day you can see the Pyrennees mountains in the far distance from the garden.

The large garden and luxurious swimming pool are a delight. A stand of mature pine trees leads to the well-kept lawn, interspersed with palms and flower beds.

The pool (12m x 6m x 0-1.6m deep) has a "Plage Californie" and is occasionally shared with the french owners, who are extremely discreet and tend not to use the pool whilst clients are at the property. The first floor apartment has its own completely independent and private entrance and car parking, a very spacious and comfortable place to stay in the South of France.

The spacious dining area and kitchen adjoin a most unusual sitting area, which could be described as a 'neo-classical salon'. It has a low sloping ceiling, in-built seating and a three-foot Bernini statue (not an original we hasten to add!). Comfortable sofa too.

Four steps lead up to the double bedroom with a 160cm double bed (which does have quite a low ceiling). 

A shower room, large wash-hand basin and wc. 

Shady private terrace near entrance and there is a BBQ for guests exclusive use.

This Languedoc villa has 5000m2 of garden with a large pool (the owners occasionally may use it) which is 12mx6mx1.6m with a graduated "Plage Californie" entry point. The owners are both extremely discreet and tend not to use the pool when clients are in residence

There is a small terrace with table and chairs at the front entrance to the apartment and a brick built BBQ for the clients exclusive use. Great for a typical South of France aperitif!

A boulodrome which can be lit up at night.

Beziers approx 16km. The cathedral dominates this busy market town, rising majestically above the river Orb. The lively Feria in August lasts five days; bullfighting, paellas, flamenco dancing, and partying in the streets until the early hours of the morning.

The holiday villa in Languedoc is just outside a small hamlet, 3km from Puisserguier, a typical Languedocian wine-village, with an attractive square and main street shaded by plane trees, with village shops, bank, bars, restaurant and supermarket.
