Property Summary

Spacious holiday villa in the Gard department of the South of France.

Flexible arrivals outside August may be possible subject to availability. 

This villa comfortably sleeps up to 11 people in 6 bedrooms all air-conditioned. The large private pool has an electric hard cover. A summer kitchen by the pool offers a great place to relax in the evenings.

Nimes, Montpellier are 35km away and the Provencal market town of Uzes  famous for Antiques is just 50km away.

Situated on the edge of the village, Gallargues is a short stroll away and has a couple of restaurants, bars and local shops including boulangerie (so not far to walk for your morning croissants!), a large supermarket Super-U is a short drive.

Accommodation Details

This large holiday villa is on 2 levels with the advantage of 3 ground floor bedrooms.

Ground Floor

On entering to the left toward the kitchen the large entrance has sliding doors on both sides of the room which lead out to dining terraces and an indoor courtyard which has a built in BBQ and is shaded. 

The modern Kitchen is fully equipped and has an electric hob, a door also leads out to the garden.

A large dining area is up a couple of steps from the entrance and has sliding doors out to the garden, terrace and pool. The double height ceiling has a fan.

Down a couple of steps is the Snug area with a fireplace.

An independent wc with wash basin. 

Ground floor bedroom 1 - Double bedroom, fitted wardrobes and a door leading directly onto the terrace/ indoor courtyard. Air-conditioning.

Ground floor bedroom 2- Double bedroom,fitted wardrobes window overlooking the garden. Air-conditioning.

Ground floor bedroom 3 - Twin bedroom, door out to the garden. Air-conditioning.

Ground floor shower and laundry room, modern walk-in Italian shower and vanity unit. Washing machine and door out to the garden and washing line.

Spiral stairs lead to the upper floor

A mezzanine style lounge with sofa and tv, this looks down over the dining area and snug. (Take care with young children).

Doors open onto a terrace overlooking the pool, the terrace has a wire barrier.

A couple of steps lead to the Master bedroom, air-conditioned, double bed, a walk-in wardrobe, window overlooking the terrace, large modern en suite bathroom, Roman shower, freestanding bath, wc and vanity unit.

This South of France villa has a large mature garden with Mediterranean plants, plenty of grass areas for children to play on and a large private swimming pool.

The pool has an electric hard cover which can be used to keep the heat in if required or for safety (pool towels are also provided).

South of France Holiday Villa in a great location

Sommières: approx 11km

A delightful town, in the heart there is a series of small interlinking squares and well-worn meandering cobbled streets, lined with an array of shops from butchers to boutiques. 

On Saturdays there is the most fabulous colourful market where shopkeepers and stall holders wait to sell you wonderful artisan products and food - from fruit and vegetables, to olives, to bread, fresh pasta and cheeses galore. 
Park this side of the bridge and walk in (it is much the easiest way) - past the small square on to the bridge stop and take in the view of the river and the lovely clock tower - in a few minutes, as you meander the plane tree lined riverside you will be in the centre.  
By the by, Laurence Durrell had a house here!

27km NE of Nîmes: Roman arena, still used for concerts.

35km to Montpellier

50km E of Uzes. Attractive medieval town.

Mediterranean beaches 25 km to La Grande-Motte

45km to the Pont du Gard: the best preserved three-tier Roman aqueduct in Western Europe

A visit to the Palais des Papes in Avignon is a must. approx 65km
